we’re going to have even this morning for giving the bar. What? Our youngest son, Aaron, is going to be speaking to us for the Bible Blacks worship this morning. We’re grateful that he and his family are able to be with us. You’re in the Bible class. The subject is personal. Our team is choose you this day. His subject is choose you this day, whom you will serve. Good morning. Seeing as this is the Bible class, our feel free too. It will be a study period. Feel free to ask questions or make comments as you will, uh, just get my attention as if you’re doing so and we’ll handle those in in the flow of things. Take your Bibles, if you will, and open them to the Book of Joshua. As many of you might recognize, the theme for the lectureship this week comes from Josh Watch after 24 which is where we’re going to begin. Josh, which after 24 is one of those passages that it is important to remember who is speaking when they’re speaking to whom they’re speaking. And we’re going to use this context and the greater context of Joshua as well as the events surrounding the Book of Joshua to set the focus for our series of lessons this week. In order to do that, we need to become acquainted with the Israel lines of the Old Testament, while we do not live under the Old Testament. And while the majority …

06-23-2019 – Keith Cozort – There Is A God-Part 2 (AM Sermon)

Even though it is somewhat of a gloomy day. Yes we are. As Terry said, thankful for the rain, we can always, well, most always we can use that sometimes gets to be too much, but not, not very often. Cheryl wanted Me to make mention to the ladies, Whoever Planning to come to the ladies class tomorrow morning, studying the book of acts. Those of you who told her that you were interested in, that she gave you a Book this morning, a lesson Book that you’ll be using, but she wanted me to make mention to you. You do not have to have the first lesson finished by the time you come to class Tomorrow morning, If you want to work on it, that’s well and good, but don’t feel like you have to have it finished before you come to class. So just Plan to come and you can work on it together tomorrow morning at 10 O’clock also, We’ve made mention a couple of different times in the last couple of months anyway, concerning brother Don Blackwell. And we sent some funds to him in the last couple of weeks in order to help him with his financial Circumcise Stance because of his health problems with his accident that he had. I wanted to let you know, just to give you an update That he had a back brace on. And Whenever you had saw a picture of it any way, it looked like he had …

06-16-2019 – Keith Cozort – A Marked Man – (PM Sermon)

Certainly good to have you out and to be with us this evening. And certainly it is a great a blessing. The sister, Bonnie is able to be with us tonight. We have missed her terribly, but understand concerning the problems that she’s had at glance. She is able to be out now evening. I want us to think about a marked man, a marked man. What does it mean to be a marked man? And who can you think of in scripture that could be described as a marked man? I have one particular individual in mind, but maybe, yeah, you have heard at various times of someone being described as being a marked man, it couldn’t mean that such a person would bear a stigma of reproach and I have to be end up bearing it for the rest of his life for one reason or another. When I think concerning a marked man, I go back and remember a TV program that I used to watch. When I was a kid, Brandon, Chuck Connors played the lead and he played Jason McCord. Jason McCord was supposed to be a captain in the Calvary. And yet the program begins. You see him being court-martialed. He was court-martialed because it’s, it was stated he was accused of being a D a disaster. And the theme song that goes through, you hear all, but one man died. They’re at bitter Creek and they believed that he ran away. Of course …

06-16-2019 – Keith Cozort – Father’s Day (AM Sermon)

You are visiting with us again. We want you to know that we’re honored by your presence, and we hope that you’ll come back at every opportunity That you have, what the wish Happy father’s day to all the fathers that are here, and certainly appreciate you being here. And this morning, we’re going to talk about fathers and father’s day. The first father’s day we are told, took place in Spokane, Washington, June the 19th, 1910, at least that’s the first one. That’s recognized. President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed the third, Sunday in June as being today, A day in which to give honor to fathers. And that was in 1924. So we are Right at 95 years of recognizing fathers on the third Sunday, But why, why should we Even take the time to worry about it other than hopefully the love and respect that we have for fathers, But certainly It is emphasized throughout scripture concerning the fact that we are to honor both father and mother. You turn to Exodus chapter 20 and in verse 12 there Moses says honor, thy father and thy mother that die days may be long about the land, which the Lord thy God gives us. And so here was Of, or it was a command that was given by God, through Moses, to the children of Israel, that they were to honor both father and mother. And notice. There’s an explanation that is given here as to why that’s to take …

06-09-2019 – Keith Cozort – Where Two Seas Met (PM Sermon)

Certainly grateful for your presence when it’s such a beautiful day outside. And yet The beauty is inside as well. With those that are here. We certainly appreciate that. Let me make a correction on your opportunity to serve sheets that you have. I put Sandy Peterson down there as being absent this morning, but she was here. I just overlooked her somehow. But anyway, just to make you aware of that, my secretary does that every once in awhile. And then my wife pointed out to me later, but anyway, open your Bibles with me. If you will, to the book of acts chapter 27, acts chapter 27, we’re going to read verses 27 through the end of the chapter, verse 44. This is where the apostle Paul is going to be transported to Rome to be, to appear before Caesar and where he will be imprisoned for at least two years time. But what we’re going to read is concerning part of it’s not the entire thing, because that would be the entire chapter, but a part of what is recorded concerning his journey. And so beginning in verse 27, Luke tells us, and when the 14th night was come, as we were driven up and down the atria in atria about midnight, the Shipman deemed that they drew near to some country and sounded and found it 20 fathoms. And when they had gone a little further, they sounded again and found it 15 fathoms, then fearing, …
